You’ll learn how to work with piping systems used in residential, commercial and industrial settings while building the technical knowledge needed to measure, cut, assemble and install pipe safely and accurately.
You will learn how to:
- Interpret blueprints, specifications and piping diagrams
- Use trade tools and apply pipefitting math in real-world situations
- Measure, cut and prepare pipe using hand and power tools
- Perform oxy-fuel cutting and welding techniques
- Learn rigging, pipe hangers, valves, flanges and fasteners
- Fabricate and install threaded, butt-weld and socket-weld piping systems
- Understand plumbing codes, standards, testing and inspection practices
- Build skills in plumbing, rough-in and final installation
- Develop safety awareness and job readiness for the pipefitting and plumbing trades
